Malcador mówi do kapitana Khalida Hassana, którego chce wprowadzić w arkana Sigillitów:

Siostry primarchów.

Kiedy Dorn się nastroszył i zaczął złożeczyć na temat swoich braci Primarchów, Malcador przyznał że za wczasu radził Imperatorowi uczynić primarchów kobietami, żeby nie było aż tak wielkiej rywalizacji:

Malcador smiled. ‘You brothers – such a nest of rivalries. I warned him to make you sisters, that it would make things more civilised. He thought I was joking. I wasn’t.’

a w międzyczasie znalazły się demony imperatora. Jest o tym tylko jeden króciutki akapit.

W ostatnim rozdziale Master of Mankind imperator prowadzi kontratak mający na celu ocalenie resztek wojsk z webwayu. Pojawiają się płonące postacie Custodian (tak zwani Ten Thousand) i zdradzonych marinsów z Istvaana, w tym "Dziesiąty syn", czyli Ferrus Manus:

Shapes raged in the flames – shadows and suggestions doing battle with the daemons, their fiery forms indistinct and ever-changing. The fire-born avatars of fallen Ten Thousand, knee-deep in psychic fire and thrusting with lances of flame. The silhouettes of Space Marines, the betrayed dead of Isstvan bearing axes and blades and claws; half-seen sigils of slaughtered Legions obscured by the ash of their blackened armour. A giant among giants, its great hands bared and rady as it seared forwards at the crest of the tidal fire. The tenth son of a dying empire, so breifly reborn in his father’s immolating wrath.

W książce nie znalazłem już nic więcej o tych "demonach" poza tym akapitem.

Pojawiła się teoria, że legion to właśnie takie zjawy. Motyw ciekawy daje szansę na powrót Manusa.

Ciekawe, tym bardziej, ze pod koniec "Fall of Cadia" jest taka scena:

Creed stumbled. Despite the medics’ labours, his wounds still bled. He felt his strength ebbing as his lifeblood seeped into the greatcoat’s fabric. One last effort. Then he’d rest. One last effort.
The storm parted – not before a Daemon, but a metal giant in a scaled cloak. The wind snatched away Creed’s hurried shot. Light glittered upon the figure’s upraised palm, iridescent polygons billowing in a hypnotic dance.
‘Ursarkar E. Creed.’ The giant’s words slammed down like tombstones. ‘This need not be your end. Eternity awaits.’
The giant’s laughter followed Creed into darkness.

Ogólnie fajnie by było jakby Legion of the Damned pojawił się w tej grze jako większa frakcja a nie tylko jedna jednostka. Taka upiorna armia wpisywała by się ładnie w nadchodzące "czasy końca".
